Questions

Questions patients ask

Do I need a referral to see Dr. Rossy?
Not always. Many patients who see Dr. Rossy for shoulder, hip, or knee concerns are referred by another physician, since sports medicine care often starts that way. Whether you need a referral depends on your insurance plan, not on the practice. Call Princeton Orthopaedic Associates or your insurance provider to confirm before scheduling.
Is Dr. Rossy accepting new patients?
Yes. Dr. Rossy is accepting new patients at Princeton Orthopaedic Associates for shoulder, hip, knee, and sports medicine concerns.
What conditions does Dr. Rossy treat?
Sports-related injuries, shoulder ailments, and multi-ligamentous knee injuries are his focus. Dr. Rossy completed a sports medicine fellowship at Harvard-Massachusetts General Hospital, and his training centers on the shoulder, hip, and knee in athletes and active patients.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of current medications. If you have already had imaging, such as an X-ray or MRI, or physical therapy notes for your shoulder, hip, or knee, bringing those along helps Dr. Rossy evaluate your injury more completely at the first visit.
Does Dr. Rossy perform surgery?
Yes, when non-surgical treatment is not enough. Dr. Rossy performs hip arthroscopy, a procedure that uses a small camera and instruments inserted through small incisions, and cartilage restoration procedures for damaged joint surfaces. Both draw on his orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Langone-Hospital for Joint Diseases and his sports medicine fellowship at Harvard-Massachusetts General Hospital.
Does the practice accept my insurance?
Insurance questions are best answered directly by our office. Call Princeton Orthopaedic Associates before your visit, and our staff will confirm your coverage and any referral requirements.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Call the Princeton office or use the practice's online scheduling option, if available, to request a visit with Dr. Rossy. A staff member will help you find a time that works and let you know what information to bring. This page is for general information and is not medical advice. Please contact Princeton Orthopaedic Associates directly with questions about your specific condition or treatment.
